Jovin Webb is back. The Louisiana blues artist has announced Son of a Sinner, his sophomore album on Blind Pig Records, due September 18. Produced by Tom Hambridge and recorded in Nashville, the 11-song collection finds Webb digging deeper into blues, gospel, and Southern rock — and deeper into himself.

The album's lead single, "Pray for Me," is out today. Built on swampy tremolo guitar and aching harmonica, it's Webb at his most confessional — wrestling with temptation, addiction, and faith, and reckoning with what it means to be "just a son of a sinner." It sets the emotional stakes for everything that follows.

Where his debut, Drifter, captured a restless soul searching for answers, Son of a Sinner is what comes after — a man owning his past and still reaching for redemption, even knowing he might fall short. The album spans hard-driving blues-rock ("Gunpowder & Lead"), swaggering funk-infused energy ("These Boots"), and Southern rock balladry ("After the Rain"), along with Webb's emotionally charged take on "Whipping Post" — a song fans will remember from his breakout run on American Idol.

Son of a Sinner will be available on CD, Crimson Red Vinyl, and all digital platforms. Pre-order it now, and stay tuned — Webb will be hitting the road across the U.S. and Europe following the release.
