Tommy Castro is back and better than ever. Teaming up again with Blind Pig Records, the label which brought him to international prominence after the stunning success of his 1996 debut Exception to the Rule, as well as the string of spectacular releases that followed, Castro delivers his first album of original music in four years. Castro and company set out to create Soul Shaker by focusing first and foremost on the songs. Said Tommy, "I've been working on songs for this record for a couple of years, writing with some of the best songwriters in the business, members of the band and on my own. Producer Kevin Bowe and I, with help of all the musicians involved, let the songs dictate the approach. The result is that our long-time fans will hear more of what they love about us, and there'll also be some pleasant surprises."
